From 9 to 11 February, come and meet us at ExtraLucca! The Teatro del Giglio hosts the 2019 edition of this beautiful initiative dedicated to oil and Italian excellence.
On the programme are tastings, meetings and samplings of some of Italy's best food and wine products. The beating heart of the event is the splendid Teatro del Giglio, built in 1675 and now the cultural symbol of the city. Here, between the stage and the foyer, between the foyer and the stage, more than 50 oil and food companies from all regions will taste their freshly pressed oils and gastronomic products.
After the first day of the event, on Saturday 9 February at 8.00 p.m. on the same stage at the Giglio, the first guide of the year will be presented, which includes 111 oil companies from all over Italy. Presenter of the event will be the well-known actor Neri Marcorè.
Balsamic Borgo will be present with all its products, from the’Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia PDO to the’Balsamic vinegar of Modena PGI.
In the splendid spaces of the Teatro del Giglio, the best “green” (freshly pressed) oils from Abruzzo, Calabria, Campania, Latium, Apulia, Sardinia, Sicily, Trentino Alto Adige, Umbria, and Veneto will be sampled, along with a vast selection from the various Tuscan oil territories. Space will also be given to meetings with producers to discover the secrets and characteristics of their activity. During the event, it will be possible to purchase all the oils on tasting, together with the products on display.
ExtraLucca opens on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 February from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Monday 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (free admission).
