In the article by Craig Cavallopublished in Saveur, are presented 10 rare Italian products to add to one's larder, and among these could not miss our balsamic, prized for its depth of flavour and intuitive labelling system that guides the consumer in making the perfect choice.

Find out what makes it special The Borgo del Balsamico and why it was selected among the most sought-after Italian excellences, here is a short translation of the article:

The True Balsamic: The Balsamic Borgo

In the heart of Emilia Romagna, Cristina and Silvia Crotti passionately carry on the family tradition in the production of Balsamic Vinegar. Thanks to their vision, The Borgo del Balsamico is now distinguished by an intuitive labelling system that helps consumers choose the right product for each use in the kitchen.

Bottles are divided into three colours - yellow, orange and red - indicating the age of the vinegar, from the youngest to the most mature. Each variant offers a unique sensory experience:

  • Yellow: young and lively, with pronounced natural acidity
  • Orangea perfect balance of acidity and sweetness
  • Reddenser and velvety, with an intense sweetness due to the natural concentration of sugars over time

As Cristina Crotti points out: “Today it is crucial to provide clear information to consumers. We are constantly bombarded with data that often does not really inform.”

Thanks to this philosophy, The Borgo del Balsamico continues to offer an authentic and transparent product, perfect for enhancing every dish with the true flavour of traditional balsamic.
