In September 2021 another unexpected surprise: the magazine Cook, the food supplement of the Corriere della Sera chooses us among the 20 women of food 2021. An amazing kermesse of “special” women welcomes us to share this wonderful achievement that honours us and confirms the road ahead.
Here is a brief summary of the full article:
“Cristina and Silvia Crotti turned their father Renzo's passion for balsamic vinegar into an entrepreneurial success story. In 2004, having left the fashion industry, the two sisters set up the Borgo del Balsamico in Albinea, in the province of Reggio Emilia. Starting from a precious treasure - 100 ancient casks from local noble families - they revolutionised the traditional image of balsamic vinegar by creating an elegant and modern product, presented in refined bottles similar to perfume bottles, with coloured labels indicating the different uses.
Today, Balsamic's Borgo produces both Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia PDO and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI, achieving international success (70% of the turnover comes from abroad). The vinegar cellar can be visited and the historic family home was recently converted into an exclusive residence with seven rooms to accommodate visitors from all over the world, eager to discover one of the best products of Made in Italy.“
Thank you once again for this invaluable moment.
