Once again this year Albinea Jazz Once again, it transforms the region into a vast open-air stage, bringing internationally renowned artists to places of extraordinary beauty!
Every July in Albinea, in the hills of Reggio Emilia, there is a distinctive sound: the rustling of leaves stirred by the evening breeze, the clinking of wine glasses during an outdoor tasting and, for almost forty years, the unmistakable rhythm of one of the the festivals most loved by jazz fans. A wealth of music amidst historic villas, centuries-old gardens and landscapes that capture the very essence of Emilia.
A tradition that has continued since 1988
First held in 1988, Albinea Jazz has, over the years, become a key event on the Italian music scene, successfully combining artistic quality with the promotion of the local area. Organised by the Municipality of Albinea, the festival has hosted some of the greatest performers in contemporary jazz, welcoming thousands of visitors from Italy and abroad. The secret of its success lies precisely in its ability to foster a dialogue between music, art, landscape e culture, turning every concert into a unique experience.
The Albinea Jazz 2026 programme
The 39th edition of the festival will take place from 22 to 30 July and will feature events taking place across the Parco dei Frassini, Villa Arnò and the splendid setting of the Reggia di Rivalta. Once again, music provides an opportunity to discover one of the most fascinating corners of Emilia-Romagna; among the most eagerly awaited events are:
- Mohammad Reza Mortazavi;
- Cécile McLorin Salvant Quartet;
- Danilo Rea Trio;
- Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers.
Albinea and the hills of Reggio Emilia: a region waiting to be discovered: Taking part in Albinea Jazz also means immersing yourself in the history and natural beauty of the Reggio Emilia hills. Amidst vineyards, ancient parish churches, Matildic castles and small villages, this area offers the chance to enjoy an authentic experience, far from the most crowded tourist routes.
