A beautiful portrait of Balsamico's Borgo was published in the German website Käfer Zeitung! Here is an excerpt:
The Borgo of Balsamic: magic between tradition and hospitality
In the heart of Emilia-Romagna, Cristina and Silvia Crotti guard a special place: the Borgo del Balsamico. Inside their former home, protected by the Fine Arts, is the historic Acetaiawhere, in a unique atmosphere of old barrels and intense fragrance, one of Italy's finest balsamic vinegars is created.
The Borgo project was born from a family dream: their father Renzo, a former entrepreneur in the fashion industry, had bought over 100 antique barrels from noble families in Reggio Emilia and Modena, passing on his passion for balsamic to his daughters. Cristina and Silvia turned this heritage into a modern company of excellence, founded in 2004.
Today, the Borgo produces both Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia PDOaged at least 12 years, either Balsamic PGI, offered in different versions and recognisable by an elegant system of coloured labels. The attention to craftsmanship and packaging design makes each product a true masterpiece.
Not only production: the Borgo is also exclusive hospitality. Guests can stay on the estate, immersed in a large 20,000 square metre park, among palm trees, ancient fruit trees and Lambrusco and Trebbiano vineyards. Here you can breathe tranquillity, while the song of cicadas and the scent of balsamic vinegar accompany the experience of those who choose to experience the magic of this unique place.
